Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why do my tower speakers have no sound?
Check the amplifier power, fuse, wiring, and audio source settings. If sound is still missing, inspect the connections and amplifier channels.
- • What amplifier power do these speakers require?
This system handles 400 watts RMS and 800 watts peak at 4 ohms. Choose a compatible marine amplifier that provides suitable power without distortion.
- • Why does the sound distort at high volume?
Distortion may occur when the amplifier clips or the gain is too high. Adjust the gain, check the wiring, and avoid excessive volume.
- • Will the fixed clamps fit my boat tower?
The stainless steel clamps fit tower tubing approximately 1-7/8 to 3 inches in diameter. Measure your tower before installation to confirm compatibility.
- • Why is one side louder than the other?
Uneven sound may result from loose wiring, balance settings, or amplifier problems. Check the connections and audio settings to restore balanced output.
- • Can these speakers withstand harsh marine conditions?
The reinforced enclosures, stainless steel hardware, and UV-resistant finish are designed for marine use. Regular cleaning and inspections help maintain their condition.
- • Why is the bass not deep enough?
The dual 10-inch drivers deliver strong midbass but may not reproduce deep subwoofer frequencies. Add a compatible marine subwoofer for fuller bass.
- • Can riders hear music clearly behind the boat?
The horn-loaded compression driver helps project sound over long distances. Clarity depends on placement, amplifier power, boat speed, and surrounding noise.
- • Why do the speakers vibrate while boating?
Loose hardware or improperly fitted clamps can cause unwanted movement. Tighten the fasteners and verify the clamps fit your tower securely.
- • Are mounting clamps included with this system?
This version includes stainless steel fixed clamps for compatible tower tubing. Confirm your tower dimensions and mounting clearance before installation.
